[ Koume the small-clawed otter at Katsurahama Aquarium is recovering from illness. She gave birth recently but all the pups died unfortunately. Worth than that, her convalescence after giving birth was not going well. After about a month she has come back to exhibit finally. I hope she retrieve good health soon. ]
桂浜水族館のアイドル、コウメちゃん。
実はコウメちゃん、海遊館から帰ってきたソラとの間に仔ができて、今月初めに出産したのですが残念な結果に。しかもコウメちゃんまで危険な状態が続いていました。
で、ようやく展示に復帰できるほど回復したのですが、まだ以前の活発さはありません。
リハビリをかねて？、テンとの同居に戻りました。
だいぶよくなったよ
こういうときのテンはたのもしい。
コウメちゃんを撮ろうとすると、

鼻が黒ずんできたコウメちゃん。
以前、フェンス際でうるさかったのはコウメでしたが、テンが代わりにうるさいです。

上から見るとそれほどでもないですが、
正面から見るとやはり病み上がりっぽいです。
でもね、目ぢからはあります。
テンの破壊工作を手伝います。
テンはレンズが好きなのか。
コウメまでｗ
体重も戻りつつあるそうです。腹部のたるみはありますが、全体的にそれほどげっそり感はないので、ひとまず安心しました。
現在、寝室との間のドアを開けているので、寒いと出てきませんがご心配なく。
テンがついてますのでｗ
とにかく、回復してよかったね。しっかり体を休めてなー。

コウメ見た感じやっぱり元気が無い感じが伝わってきますね。
テンにしっかりとガードしてもらって、早く元気になって欲しいですね。
まだよたよたしているんですよ。前が元気すぎたので、なおさらそう感じるってのはありますね。

It is so sad to hear about Koume’s pups not surviving and her struggle with recovery after giving birth.
Koume is one of my very favorite otters, she is so beautiful and perfect. She seems quiet and sad right now. I hope she recovers fully and perhaps one day will be able to have a healthy litter of pups.

I hope so too. But considering Koume’s age, it’s good to avoid breeding any more, I think. Actually, she’s 10 now. Late childbearing has a risk also for otters. So I’d like her to keep calm days after this.
Oh wow, I didn’t realize she was 10. She looks so much younger.
Yes, breeding wouldn’t be good for her at all at this age.
