I hope so too. But considering Koume’s age, it’s good to avoid breeding any more, I think. Actually, she’s 10 now. Late childbearing has a risk also for otters. So I’d like her to keep calm days after this.

It is so sad to hear about Koume’s pups not surviving and her struggle with recovery after giving birth.
Koume is one of my very favorite otters, she is so beautiful and perfect. She seems quiet and sad right now. I hope she recovers fully and perhaps one day will be able to have a healthy litter of pups.
